ten on Tuesday

Today's selection... 10 songs that I cannot help but sing along to..... this goes out as a dedication to my brother in law Craig!! He has sing along fever just like me, we rather enjoy singing out loud and even doing a little dance too, especially in the van, it drives Carrie nuts!!

1. Love will Keep Us Together
.. Captain & Tenille? I am not even sure who sings this, the commercial is what I have to sing to these days, overcome with 70's sentimentality, hehe.

2. Mr. Brightside... The Killers. C'mon, it is just a damn good song!

3. Baby Got Back... Sir Mix-a-lot. So fun to sing this one, shake that moneymaker!

4. Jackson... Johnny Cash & June Carter
. This is Aidan and my song! I looooove to use my southern twang when I bellow this baby!

5. Lean On Me... Club Nouveau. Again, for sentimental reasons, I could not get through this song without belting out a line or two. Word to my fam!

6. Ob-la-di-ob-la-da...The Beatles. I could sing any Beatles tune but in this one they say bra! huh, huh, funny.

7. American Pie... Don McLean. I just remember this one always being high on the CKOC top 500, a real classic tune!

8. Cat's in the Cradle... Harry Chapin. This song is bittersweet, the lyrics are so easy to get caught up in!

9. Zombie... The Cranberries. Making that ay, ay noise is almost too irresistible.

10. Summer Nights... John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John. Like, hello, I knew the entire album by heart... If Danny Zuko ever laid eyes on me, he would say "Sandy, who?" At least that is what I thought when I was 8!

Sing and be merry is what someone said, right? I am one of those girls that just happens to like the sound of her own voice EVEN if I hear it differently than everyone else does... lmao!

Don't forget Craig's infamous head bob, when staying with them I also noted that it drove Carrie to rolling her eyes and shaking her head in her own way! As one who loved singing along with many of these songs with you Laurel, I say sing your HEART OUT! Feel the music girl! love Danny Zuko

Hi Laurel,
I had the joy of growing up with Craig's singing and his infamous head bob. You should have seen the two of us doing the dishes together with the radio blaring. He taught me everything he knows. Carrie has many years of his attempts at vocal acrobatics to look forward to.
