Okay, have not eaten breakfast yet and since my tummy is rumblin, let's have some fun. This week's ten on Tuesday is ten things I love to eat! Food is good... yum yum, me like food. lol.
1. Ice Cream... I am not a soft ice cream gal. I like the Stoney Creek Dairy or Hewitt's old fashioned cones. Maple Walnut or Tiger Stripe were always my childhood choice. Yum! So many memories attached to our family pit stops at either of these prime ice cream parlours. (Doesn't taste good unless you wear it, right Nanny!!)
2. Oatmeal chocolate chip, raisin, walnut, coconut cookies. I make these cookies that my mom used to make and they have literally everything but the kitchen sink in them... love them when they are warm or let's face it... raw is fine!
3. Roast beef, gravy and yorkshire pudding. I am happy to see that my boys love the yorkies as much as I did as a kid. They were not served every time we had a roast but when they were, mmmmmmmm mmmmmm! I would swim in gravy if I could. Oh, how fattening it is, but hey, I do not eat it every day!!
4. Homemade Spaghetti Sauce. As it says in my profile, Nanny's is best in my opinion. I always loved her stewing beef in the sauce. Made with the stewed tomatoes grown by my Papa... not really spicy but I like it that way.
5. French Toast and Bacon. Since I cannot make pancakes very well, we became accustomed to French Toast instead. It is really one of my favourite foods. Comfort food for me, do not know why. And the bacon, well, that is just sinful!
6. Steak Escape Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches... I grieved the loss of the only Steak Escape we had in Hamilton. I loved these sandwiches perhaps too much! But it beat the other food court options... Mall food is not the same for me!!
7. Egg rolls... It is strange, I crave these often?? I love a good egg roll. Must have the plum sauce and must not have any seafood in it. I love chinese food altogether but these are my fave!
8. Perogies... Ye old Bel Air Restaurant on Barton Street... we used to go there as kids for a treat if shopping with Mom and perogies were always the choice. Then we would go down to the basement to use the washroom but we really wanted to see the old lady who sat down there making pierogie by hand.... we thought she just should always be there.
9. Peanut butter and jam sandwich, with a little butter to make it stick. Oh ya, this is tops! Really is unfortunate that my kids cannot bring pb & j to school... but they eat it at home as much as I did. The very best of these sandwiches though were made at Nanny and Papa Daryl's house... by Auntie Anne, on Wonder Bread with butter (a treat) and accompanied with a big glass of milk... from the jug and in my special glass!!
10. Chocolate.... oh any chocolate is suitable! Dark is the best, milk is yummy, not too fond of white chocolate but it is good on occasion. I love chocolate, and am so very happy that the Easter Bunny is comin this weekend, lol.

You are too cute. You make it all sound so appetizing.. especially when my tummy is growling- big time!! I love your lists, I think I will make one too today of my favourite foods! I know, copy cat! Sometimes you inspire me in more ways than one, I think I will go make myself a peanut butter and banana sangwich.
teeheee
Remember samo's? This term was coined by Jer, Daniel, Michelle and keith!( a folded over pbj) Aaron loves them as a snack, a full sandwich is a lunch but a samo is an ideal size for a snack!I love that he says some of the same things I do! Btw is the Bel-Air still around? I'd love to go there for those scrumptious plate of perogies in June!! It makes me laugh 'cause I live a city that is so rich in the Ukranian culture and foods, yet I still remember the best perogies were at the Bel-Air, a bit of nostalgia I suppose! We all love the yorkies too and I usually have to make a double batch for 4 of us!!!!They make greta middle of the night snacks... I am sooo hungry now!! K
