Can I brag a moment.....

A teacher and a student. His life is a celebration of love and lessons. He is my first born. I have written about this child before today.... I will write about him again... he does me proud, there is so much to share.
He is Joshua, the graduate, Class of 2007.
He loves sports, especially Hockey and Soccer. He enjoys music, Myspace, Youtube and hanging out with his friends. He has a messy room and holes in his shoes. He is a 13 year old boy. He is MY 13 year old boy.
My little boy is growing up so very quickly, not so little any more. He is going to High School in just a couple of months.
Josh spent 10 years in his school and has now outgrown its walls. He is breaking new ground and paving the way for his younger brothers too. He is not sure in what direction he may be headed but has heeded some worthwhile advice. He has been told not to limit himself.... he could be headed anywhere his heart desires! I can pat myself on the back for a job well done (although, not done yet). I can thank so many people who have also contributed to the great kid he is.... but let us just give the boy some props.... he is just so damn amazing to me. Not for what he does or what he knows or what he looks like.... but from the heart and soul of him.... the very spirit of this child... MY life became better when he arrived.
So when these momentuous occasions come our way... we are going to celebrate him!!!
Congratulations my Joshie!!!

I'm so very proud. It was wonderful watching my children graduate, but it means the world to me to see my grandchildren graduate too. Wow, who would have believed that when we were all busy changing little Joshies diapers that in just a blink of an eye he would be starting High School. You've done a great job Laurel of raising our boy & he is a credit to you. It won't be long until he's graduating from grade 12. Keep a stiff upper lip and lots of Kleenex on hand. You'll need them. He's just starting to learn how to leave the nest and as momma bird, you have to learn to let him learn to fly. I'm here whenever you need a shoulder.

Love from a very proud Grandma
