Well, I will blog more later about this... but we are getting ready to begin another Biggest Loser competition at work. Last time, with little effort.... I lost a whopping.... *drum roll please*... 3 pounds.
I can think of all kinds of reasons why I want to lose weight... let me just get myself motivated a couple of days early with a Ten on Tuesday list dedicated to the battle of the bulge.
Here are ten reasons why I want to lose lose lose this spring!
1. Do not want to be the kid that sits out of the fun So okay, not an entirely positive reason... but whatever gets me there, right! We have 20 people participating and I know that if I did not join... I would feel like a left out girly in a couple of weeks!!
2. I love me some water! This is called the law of attraction! If I can convince myself that I LOVE to drink those glasses upon glasses of water each day... I just may be able to get back into it! Actually, once I got the routine established back in my WW days... I was guzzling my necessary water intake before lunch... I just need to get it going again.
3. Aches and Pains you have GOT to go! I am turning 40 soon, okay... not 60. I think that to get into a good routine with exercise and getting some pounds off, I may not feel like I am aging before my pretty little eyes. I have another 40 plus years to live... and this temple will be falling apart if I do not get her renovated!!
4. Fruit and Vegetables. They must feel left out. Imma do this for all the fruit and vegetables... so they know they are worthy and chock full of goodness... so they do not doubt their importance... I will eat healthier for them... the celery, the apples... all you pieces of melon... prepare to be eaten!
5. A Good Excuse to buy new Shoes. I have had the same Nikes for about 2 or 3 years now... if I am going to commit to a good routine of walking and maybe even the odd little and very slight jog... well, these tootsies are gonna need some love... I feel a good BOGO sale coming on... and you listen and listen good... I deserve it!
6. Hey, that is a good one... I deserve it! I know all of the good that comes from living a healthy lifestyle... I am eager to see how it can lift my spirit. I need to bring that self esteem up a couple of notches. I deserve to be healthy and happy... and we all know that the key to happiness is celery and jumping jacks.
7. The Yoga Pants. I just love yoga pants. I would love a good pair of lulu's and I do not think that they are made in big girl sizes... I will walk a few miles if I can rock the frickin yoga pants at the end of it all.
8. Look at this poor number 8... it is my favourite number of all eh... you may not have known that about me. But I do not want to resemble it. I would rather look like a great number 1 or even a 7... they have it all going on. I am grasping here... got to focus for a moment... and connect with some better motivation than that... brb!
9. Gonna bring Sexy back! Yeah I said it... I am not feeling all that divine of late... wanna get down with the get down... love the girl in the glass... and feel better about all that shizz.
and finally the last motivator for wanting to lose lose lose this spring...
10. THIS cookie is the cookie in charge! Not you damn oreos or fudgeeoos... not you chocolate bar or chips and dip... I am capable and can manage all of my emotional upheaval without the support of diabetic time bombs and salty grenades! I am strong... I am someone who needs to be on this planet for decades to come!!!
