Shelf that for later.

Change number one.... these are in no particular order but with a babe this is a biggie! Learning how to accept the fact that things get half done or not done because my time is no longer just my own. I am on someone else's clock and this is on call, 2-4-7. I guess the big change here was that I was no longer in control of what I would do with my time. I just talked to one of my friends about this the other day, and is really an adjustment for some. I plan to get things done and intend to accomplish much in a day but some days are just filled with every one else's stuff, and self care or housework for example get back burnered. Having a baby requires so much of one's time that I wonder at the end of the day where the hours went. Feeding, changing, bathing, playing, just being close by all has its place, some things cannot be put off, and this is as it should be.... laundry does not always get put away, the pedicure gets delayed longer than it should, my scrapbooking happens more in my imagination than on paper.... a little guy is my new "boss" and while I might be in charge of running my home, his needs are priority number one. Then the important piece is to carve some crucial "me time" in for the sake of balance. Occasionally this can be difficult.
