My little turtle is no turtle

Colin, Colin, God love you little boy! I have been blessed with a bundle of mischief this time for sure. When he was just a couple of months old Daddy gave him the nickname Turtle. He kept lifting his head, trying to stretch out his neck and really did look like a little turtle, he was not mobile at the time so the name fit him like a glove.
My little turtle is now 8 months old, he mastered crawling a couple of weeks ago and days later was walking around the furniture. Life has only picked up pace since then! He can shimmy his way down the couch and make it across the livingroom in seconds flat. I have to keep a constant eye because he has also found an interest in climbing. Whew, I am exhausted just thinking about it, he has already spilled my coffee all over the carpet today, I did not even get a sip. I have resigned myself to the fact that he may just never sleep long enough for me to do something substantial around the house! I remember that poem about letting housework wait and playing with your kids instead and that will remain my excuse!!
Now do not get me wrong, I love this bundle of baby to the end of the earth! He has brought our home so much joy as of course his brothers did before him. I thank God that he does have the ability he does, while some babies struggle with health problems from birth, I have three healthy children and am grateful for this. This is a new breed for me, neither Josh nor Aidan were quite this go-go-go, and they both enjoyed their sleep!! My Mom says that he reminds her of his Auntie Krystal when she was a babe... there is hope, she eventually slowed down.
