I tried to work on this one many moons ago... and did not get far. To be honest, I looked in my saved drafts and saw this post... with only the title.
Oh Nanny. I have much to say about you and to you... and those stories will come. I just hope you feel how me and my boys still feel surrounded and blessed and warm from all of the love you shared with us.
It has now been a year. I am kicking myself for not blogging your memory sooner... but it was just not my time to do so.
Please send your prayers out for us and stay close. I wonder what you would really have to say about some of the choices I have made since you left. Leave it to me, eh!
Our birthdays are coming around again... another year without you to share my cake with... but at my age... I really do need the whole cake for all my candles.
Did you hear Colin last week... when he called Auntie Dolly his Nanny... bless him, he is so curious about what has happened with our beloved Nanny... and when he saw your picture a couple of days later... he excitedly said... Mommy, there is Nanny!!!
